Erick’s extensive career spans over 20 years in the iron and steel and environmental industries across multiple countries. His diverse roles have included strategic and commercial planning, M&A, marketing intelligence, operations & logistics, by-products recycling, R&D, and sales and business development.

During his tenure of over ten years at a global company in the trading and recycling of industrial by-products, Erick played a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative solutions, leading a cross-functional team of R&D, sales, and business development, both in-person and remotely, demonstrating his strategic thinking, industry knowledge, adaptability, and leadership abilities.

He oversaw the research, design, and business development of new products and services aligned with the clients’ needs and expectations regarding material efficiency, circularity, and decarbonization. He also created and executed effective marketing and sales strategies, expanding the customer base. Some of his achievements include securing a significant exclusivity agreement with an agglomeration technology world leader, keeping strategic alliances with partners, securing the performance of critical industrial trials, and launching a new line of application for a cold agglomeration technology to reduce carbon emissions in the iron and steel industry. His work helped to position the company at the forefront of recycling solutions alongside worldwide mining companies.

Since 2019, he has served as a Board Member of the Institute of Briquetting and Agglomeration (IBA), currently serving as its first Vice President.
